NauticEd Sail Course receives recognition for it's Third-Party Verified Course

NauticEd’s Nationally Recognized On The Water Sailing Endorsement Course is being recognized for meeting the American National Standard for On-Water Recreational Boating Skills Standard – SAIL. The course was submitted by NauticEd and put through a third-party conformity assessment to verify that it met the National Standard.

Under funding provided by a USCG grant, the National Association of State Boating Law Administrators has implemented a process of voluntary third-party conformity assessment for on-water boating skill programs to verify a course meets American National Standards for Power, Sail, and Human-Propelled. Successful completion includes the award of a uniquely-numbered “Verified Course” mark indicating “The content of this course conforms to the American National Standard for on-water skills as verified through an independent third-party assessment process.”

Recognized by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) as American National Standards, the On-Water Power, On-Water Sailing, and On-Water Human-Propelled standards identify fundamental skills that entry-level recreational boat operators should be able to demonstrate after receiving instruction.

The National Association of State Boating Law Administrators is recognized by the United States Coast Guard as an official national entity to serve as a third-party independent reviewer to verify power and motorized sail boating courses against the American National Standards for On-Water Recreational Boating Skills.
