The National Association of State Boating Law Administrators (NASBLA) is seeking applicants for service on the National Boating Education Standards Panel for the 2021-2023 term.
The 15-member panel, designed to represent a range of stakeholder interests, is charged with reviewing, developing, and revising the National Boating Education Standards using open, consensus-based procedures conforming to the Essential Requirements for Due Process of American National Standards Institute (ANSI). Interest categories are: Public, Commercial, State Boating Agency, Federal Boating Agency, and Non-Governmental/Non-profit Organization.

Applicants are encouraged from any party materially affected by the Standard. Additional information about the panel, including an online application for panel membership, is available at https://www.nasbla.org/nasblamain/advocacy/national-education-standards/panelmembership.

Panel meetings are conducted virtually 10-12 times per year with 1-2 in-person meetings conducted as needed. Travel costs for in-person meetings are provided under USCG grant funding (if available) or under NASBLA approved funding.

Appointees, selected by the NASBLA Executive Board, will be announced no later than December 2020 for a term of office beginning January 1, 2021 and ending December 31, 2023. Contact esp@nasbla.org for additional information.
