Rodger has been serving as the Program Manager for the Officer Water Survival course for many years, but has decided to retire from this position as of last week. Rodger's role as Program Manager, Lead Instructor and Subject Matter Expert will be sorely missed at NASBLA. His leadership has been instrumental in the building and success of the OWS Program, and has directly improved the safety and security of the officers that protect our coastlines and waterways.

With the full support of Rodger Norcross, the BOAT Program welcomes Eric Reed as the new Program Manager for the Officer Water Survival course. Eric Reed has worked with the Ohio Department of Natural Resources-Division of Watercraft and Division of Parks and Watercraft for over 17 years. He serves as the Training Coordinator, where he oversees the statewide Swiftwater Rescue training program, Officer Water Survival training program, hiring process for new officers and is the Ohio BOAT Program Manager under Ohio's NASBLA accreditation. As Program Manager, he can be reached via email at eric.reed@nasbla.org.
