Lexington, KY & Bremerton, WA – [Sept. 30, 2025] – The National Association of State Boating Law Administrators (NASBLA) and SAFE Boats International, a 100% employee-owned American boatbuilder, today announced a partnership designating SAFE Boats as the exclusive boatbuilding Mission Partner for NASBLA’s Boat Operations and Training (BOAT) Program.

This partnership will expand the resources, visibility, and support for the thousands of officers, first responders, and emergency professionals who rely on BOAT Program training to serve and protect America’s waterways.

For more than 15 years, NASBLA’s BOAT Program has defined the national standard in maritime law enforcement and emergency response training, equipping more than 40,000 professionals to perform their missions safely and effectively. The partnership with SAFE Boats will ensure front-line personnel continue to have access to enhanced training opportunities, recognition programs, and the latest insights into the tools and platforms that support their work.

“This partnership is a significant step forward in our mission to standardize and elevate maritime public safety training nationwide,” said Courtney Livingston, Director of NASBLA’s BOAT Program. “SAFE Boats’ commitment to excellence and innovation aligns closely with the values of the BOAT Program. Together, we are ensuring that maritime responders across the country have access not only to the best tools but also to the best training to meet the demands of their critical roles.”
