Shape the Future of Boating Safety: Apply to the CRBP Commission
The future of recreational boating safety and professionalism is being rebuilt — and you have the opportunity to help shape it. NASBLA’s
Certified Recreational Boating Professional (CRBP) Program is entering an exciting new chapter, with updated content, enhanced delivery through
Kalkomey Enterprises, LLC, and a renewed commitment to excellence. At the center of this work will be a seven-member CRBP Commission, a diverse group of leaders responsible for guiding standards, validating resources, and ensuring the integrity of the credentialing process.
Serving on the commission is more than a professional opportunity — it is a chance to make a lasting impact on the boating community. Members will help set the program’s strategic direction, oversee assessment development, and uphold the values of ethics, safety, and public trust. Both credentialed CRBPs and noncredentialed professionals are encouraged to apply to ensure the commission reflects the full range of perspectives across our industry.
If you are passionate about advancing boating safety, committed to professional excellence, and ready to contribute your expertise, we invite you to
apply. Together, we can strengthen the foundation of the CRBP Program and elevate standards across the profession for years to come.
Applications are due Friday, Jan. 16, 2026, at 5 p.m. (ET). Submit yours today and help shape the future of recreational boating professionalism!
