Depending on what you're looking for Dive Rescue International has a great swift water course and if your agency hosts a course they come to your location to conduct training and you can benefit by obtaining some free tuition for your personnel.  This is primarily designed for rescue but can include boat maneuvers.  Again, all depends on what you're looking for.

    Lt. Maddox,

I've been teaching water rescue for over 34 years. I have written many water rescue curriculums for the State of California including swift water rescue. Upon successful completion of my course ( 3 day/24 hour) you will receive a California State Fire Training Certificate backed by the States Fire Marshal.

Since I moved here in Oct 2018, I have meet with South Carolina Fire Academy and I have been asked to re-write the South Carolina Water Rescue Curriculums and I'm currently re-writing Surface Water Rescue following 2017 NFPA 1006 & 1670.

I live in Surfside Beach, SC and can easily make it down there to teach my three day course.

Some questions I would have are: How many students, what type of PPE are you using and which water way do you desire to train in. It's always better to train in the water way you and your team will be responding to. This gives your team members actual hands on and experience of their actual response area.

I hope to hear from you.

    Kindest regards,
