Boat Insurance

    Not required in Oklahoma but many do have it. I believe more so because Banks require it on the loans many boaters have on their vessels though.  Most operators/owners are really surprised to hear that it is not required by law in Oklahoma.

    Greetings all,

    Not required in NY but most people have it because they have loans and also are afraid that if they have a pollution incident, they have coverage. 

    Don't know why anyone with a vessel or PWC wouldn't have at least liability to cover for an accident.

    Louisiana only requires insurance for both freshwater and saltwater guide licenses.
