    Fellow BLAs,

We are approaching the point where we have to move forward with ideas for the state guide performance parameters, ideally with the benefit of your insight, experience, and occasional healthy skepticism. That said, right now, the feedback volume is… let's call it "quietly confident." While we appreciate the implied trust you have in the Finance and Grants Committee, we also know that silence in our line of work rarely means universal agreement, it usually means everyone is busy, or assuming someone else will chime in.

So, here's the deal, if you have thoughts, concerns, improvements, or even a strong gut reaction, now is the time to weigh in. Once the boat is off the dock, we'll operate under the reasonable assumption that the current direction reflects general support having nothing to gauge it against. In other words, speak now, or we'll take the silence as a nod of approval.

We've kept the process simple. Please take a few minutes to complete the survey at this link (brief survey) and share your perspective, best practices for grant closeout performance reporting or simple load your performance summary that we all have to do for our bosses or other organizations that speaks to the success of your RBS Program.

Your input will directly help shape how these parameters are defined and applied across states. This is one of those rare chances to influence the framework before it becomes the framework. For what it's worth, we all know the most expensive words in boating are "it'll be fine" so let's spare the expense and speak up. Now's the time.

If you feel like you are in the dark on what I am speaking about, take a bit and watch the recording from our Virtual meeting on the State Guide Performance Reporting topic and then take a minute to provide some responses on the survey. If you still have questions, feel free to reach out.
