Operation Dry Water Results Announced

2017 Heightened BUI Enforcement Weekend

In 2017, the Operation Dry Water campaign moved the date of the national heightened awareness and enforcement weekend one week closer to the July 4th holiday. With this change, the enforcement weekend results have increased drastically.

The number of boater contacts increased 86% over last year's results. There were 151 (or 41%) more BUI arrests made in 2017, and agency and officer participation increased as well.
