This community survey report documents resident attitudes, recreational use patterns, and public safety and environmental concerns associated with boating activity on Lake Waramaug in Connecticut. Conducted by Terra Vigilis Environmental Services as part of a multi-phase waterway assessment project, the report evaluates community awareness of wake-enhanced vessel operations, wave-enhancing technologies, boating safety regulations, shoreline impacts, water quality concerns, and recreational user conflicts. Survey findings reflect participation from both lakefront property owners and public-access users, providing insight into the perspectives of a diverse multi-use waterway community. The report includes statistical summaries, respondent commentary, usage-frequency data, and analysis related to wake surfing operations, non-motorized recreation, shoreline stewardship, and boating enforcement preferences. For Boating Law Administrators, policymakers, marine law enforcement agencies, and lake management organizations, this resource provides a valuable example of stakeholder-engagement methodology and public perception analysis that can support evidence-informed waterway management discussions, boating education initiatives, and future regulatory or stewardship planning efforts.
