Marina Construction Challenges in 2023 and Associated Impacts to Grant Funding Programs PPT

When I was your age, I could buy a candy bar for $0.05! The world of marine construction has changed radically since 2020. The cost and availability of construction materials has skyrocketed.
 
Combined with a robust economy and rampant waterfront development, the cost to develop waterfront projects has increased dramatically. This has put a strain on project budgets and schedules. This has also increased the importance of grant funding mechanisms to facilitate project development.
 
This session will provide an overview of challenges that have impacted waterfront development in the COVID and post-COVID eras, including impacts to and effectiveness of grant funding programs such as Boating Access and BIG.
