In September 2016, the NASBLA membership approved a change in Section 9.3A of the NASBLA Basic Boating Course Approval Policy which can result in the OPTION to remove required course timers for online courses which incorporate a heightened level of student interactivity. This Deep Dive session presents an overview of the Interactivity Rubric created for NASBLA Approval under the Section 9.3A option. Produced by the NASBLA Education Committee with input from professional Interactivity Design Consultants and feedback from boating course providers, the Interactivity Rubric is available for Interactive Course Approvals effective Jan. 1, 2018.
