NASBLA Public Library

This printable feather flag is designed to promote responsible wake boating at public water access sites, marinas, boating events, and other recreational boating locations. Developed by the Water Sports Industry Association (WSIA) as part of its Wake Responsibly campaign, the sign uses a highly visible graphic and concise messaging to encourage courteous boating practices that help reduce conflicts among waterway users and minimize potential impacts on shorelines and nearby property.

The flag highlights three key recommendations for responsible wake boat operation: stay at least 200 feet away from shorelines and other sensitive areas, keep music at reasonable levels, and minimize repetitive passes. Intended as a public education and outreach resource, it supports boating safety and responsible wake awareness through clear, easy-to-recognize messaging suitable for display in high-traffic recreational boating areas.
