DNR manages mooring buoy fields in King County, Pierce County, and Thurston County. Most notable are the three mooring buoy fields in Quartermaster Harbor. Information covered will include background on Quartermaster Harbor's Management Plan, how DNR issues authorizations and how interested parties can apply for an available space in the field or other areas. The session will also include our habitat stewardship standards for mooring buoy installations, and how ongoing management and compliance occurs at these sites.
