    Hello all!

    I am working on an Education Standards Panel workgroup and we are hoping to review existing K-12 curriculum around boating, life jackets, or water safety.  If your state has created or uses such a curriculum or if you know of another entity who has created such a curriculum, can you reach out to me to either share the curriculum or the organization who has created a curriculum?

    Sorry, Stacey, CT does not have a specific K-12 program for education separate from our normal class.

    We created the program and own it. We hired a student from OSU to create it for her Masters Degree.

    Hi all!

    Sharing here in case other states want to check our program out. California currently offers a K-8 activity book that we developed that aligns with Next Generation Science Standards and previous curriculum standards for our state.

    American Canoe Association has a program designed to be incorporated into PE programs.  More information about it is at PS2 Curriculum - ACA .  That page contains a link to the complete curriculum.

    Hello Stacey,

    Check out the Spirit of America curriculum, the premier youth boating education program in the country: Welcome to Spirit of America Premier Youth Boating Education

    It started and is headquartered in Northeast Ohio, but is in multiple locations in several states.  I served as the North Carolina program coordinator for several years.

    Cecilia Duer is the Executive Director and would be a wonderful resource for youth boating education curriculum.  Their curriculum meets the National On Water Standards (NOWS).
