Bio

I was selected as Idaho's BLA and Boating Program Supervisor for the Idaho Department of Parks and Recreation (IDPR) in May of 2022. I transferred to IDPR after working for the state in several other roles, including community outreach, interagency relations, and aquatic invasive species management. Before working in state government, I earned a Bachelor's degree in biology with a focus on ecology from Boise State University and began my career as an interpretive guide on snorkel and whale watching tours in Maui, Hawai'i. During this time working as a guide, lifeguard, and first mate, I also earned my 100 ton Merchant Mariner Credential (captain's license), and had the opportunity to participate in many Coast Guard led drills and trainings as well as open-water lifeguard trainings and rescues.

I'm excited to bring my boating experience back to the inland waters of my home state and be in a position to combine my experience and interests into one exciting role as Idaho's BLA.

In my personal time, my husband and I keep busy trying to keep up with our energetic toddler and daydreaming about our next dive destination.
